Meaningful November NFL Football Returns To Charlotte
You were starting to think it would never happen again weren’t you?
No, not MTV actually playing music videos, not people actually calling each other on the phone instead of texting. No, not any of that folks.
The Panthers win over the hapless Tampa Bay Buccaneers means that for the first time in five years, there will be a game that actually means something for the HOME team being played at BOA stadium in November.
Not since 2008 have the Panthers even sniffed eing in the playoff mix this late in the season so needless to say, big November NFL games have been null and void here in the queen city.
The 2013 season did not start with the look of football being on the minds of Panther fans once the weather turned cold.
At 1-3, most were wondering when Ron Rivera would be fired not if he would. Some were suggesting that the 3 car Derek Anderson take over the reins at QB replacing Cam Newton.
Fast forward a few weeks, the Panthers are now 4-3, Ron Rivera can now coach, and folks are talking long term contract for Newton.
And it is not can the Panthers make the playoffs, it is now can they win the NFC South.
So when the Panthers take on the Falcons on November 3rd, embrace it. It has been a long time coming, you don’t have to start planning ways to otherwise occupy your Sunday afternoons just yet.
