Rich Eisen of the NFL Network joined the guys live from Tampa for a preview of the Panthers-Bucs game tonight.
Rich discussed the news that Brett Favre was contacted by the Rams today. Panthers fans shouldn’t be worried about this impacting the coverage of the Panthers game. They had him on NFL Network last week and he looked and sounded like a retired guy. He explains how people in the media are like cats to shiny objects when it comes to Brett Favre.
Rich thinks Panthers fans should be really excited right now with being .500 for the first time in 5 years. They are finally clicking before the last stretch of the season. It’s been 70 games since the Panthers have been over .500. The next closest team to that mark is Jacksonville at 39 games.
Rich says is playing in a manner that Steve Smith described as playing chess. DeAngleo is playing well, Smitty is cranky, the defense is playing well. The Bucs don’t have their star running back and a young QB. This should be a win and the Panthers should be in play for a possible wild
