Burlington Woman Charged In Man’s Shooting Death
GRAHAM, N.C. (AP) — A Burlington woman has been charged with first-degree murder in a man’s shooting death.
Deputies say 23-year-old Jasmine Camille Kirkland was arrested Friday in the death of Anthony Eric Williams.
Authorities say they found the 33-year-old Williams just after 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at the couple’s home. He had been shot and later died at a hospital.
At first, deputies thought Williams had shot himself. But after more investigation, they arrested Kirkland and charged her with murder.
Kirkland was being held without bond in the Alamance County jail. She was scheduled for a first appearance in court on Monday, and it wasn’t known if she had an attorney.
