Bobcats Head Coach Steve Clifford joined Mac and Jim in studio to preview the start of training camp, to discuss the off season moves, and much more.

Clifford, who we found out is an avid Baltimore Orioles fan, seems poised to take this team to another level.

Clifford on Al Jefferson: “In terms of his defense, he has played on good offensive teams but teams that weren’t balanced. He has the ability to defend. He is mobile and quick. I went back to his last 10 games of this past season and he played great. He was the best offensive player on the team. He has to do better on defense and we have to help with him that”

Clifford on Kemba: “The summer is all about making your individual game better and that is what Kemba spent the summer doing. His strength is the pick and roll game and he made that even stronger over the past few months.

Clifford on his demeanor/style: You have to be demanding but as a coach this league is about the fans. My responsibility is to bring a winner here and you have to coach to your own personality. I need to connect with our players and help them. The outside stuff (fans, etc) is a part of it but you can’t worry about it
