The Drive Tuesday 9-24-13 – From ESPN Chris Fowler talked with the guys from The Drive about his hit show College Gameday that is a staple for college football fans on Saturday mornings, then we go around the ACC as we preview the weekends games, finally we close by talking about what the future will hold for college gameday.
We start with the 24 year vet of College Gameday by asking him why College Gameday on ESPN has lasted so long.
“The fact that we get to go to different locations each week really gets us energized”
“People want to show up and show what their program is all about”
We next move on to the ACC and more specifically the schools in North Carolina.
“The ACC in general and more specifically UNC and NC State have got to keep the SEC from grabbing the best players”
“We are way over due from coming to North Carolina its been 9 years”
With Lee Corso having some recent health issues we ask Chris what will happen to the show when Lee leaves.
“We dont really think about it to much we go week to week and we hope he goes on for ever and ever”
“When he leaves we wont have anyone else do the picks like he does that was his invention”
