SPARTANBURG, S.C. (CBS Charlotte) – A Spartanburg man called police because his favorite X-rated DVD was stolen.

Gregory Ratliff reported a break-in after noticing his DVD player was missing, according to a Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office report. He told deputies the home was cluttered with tons of valuables, but only these two items were missing.

Ratliff told authorities the X-rated DVD was inside the player.

Ratliff said he bought the DVD player at a garage sale and it didn’t mean much to him. Though Ratliff didn’t know the name of the X-rated DVD, he said it was his favorite.

He estimated the value of the DVD player at $20.00 and the disc at $8.  Authorities found no sign of forced entry.

Ratliff stated all the doors and windows were locked and he had the only key. He said he has a girlfriend living with him but he had not seen her all day.
