(CBS Charlotte) — Residents in Gastonia are on high alert after four people have been kidnapped and robbed since Saturday.

The kidnappings have occurred in three separate instances, and all of the victims have reported being kidnapped by two men who were armed and masked.

In each case, the victims were forced into their own vehicles at gunpoint and were told to drive to ATM’s. Once at the ATM machine, the armed men demanded that their victims withdrawal cash. In two of the incidents, the victims were forced to drive to Charlotte — where they were ordered to withdrawal several hundred dollars from numerous ATM machines in the area.

To date, all of the victims have been set free after each incident, and there have not been any reports of injuries during the kidnappings.

Victims have described the suspects as black males in their early to mid 20s. Both are described as having a thin build and are under 6 feet tall.
