Here’s a sample of some of the best options for a scary good time for the month ahead:
Boogerwoods – Rockwell, NC
A staple for over 35 years, Boogerwoods is one of the most elaborate Halloween productions in North Carolina. With four new scenes and the return of The Flatback. It’s running for five nights this year beginning October 25th.
The Fear Farm – Blacksburg, SC
The Fear Farm is 8000 square feet of terror! With brand new rooms and renovations, it’s sure to be a great time – even for returning customers. Open every Friday and Saturday in October.
The Campground Massacre – Fort Mill, SC
Established in 1994, The Campground Massacre is a 19-night event that features three acres of soul-stirring delight. Touting the largest pneumatic prop monster and no tour guides, Campground Massacre will be sure to frighten even the bravest souls. Opens in the last weekend of September and numerous dates in October.
The Haunted Mill – Belmont, NC
The Haunted Mill opened last weekend. Featuring an all-ages show and a more mature late-night production, The Haunted Mill has something for everyone. Open every weekend from now until the end of October.
Kersey Valley Spookywoods – Archdale, NC
With five different settings, Spookywoods is one of the highest-rated attractions in the USA. It has been voted #1 outdoor scream park by hauntworld.com. Featuring outdoor laser tag and a zip-line tour on over 60 acres of farm land. Festivities opened on the 13th and will go to a regular schedule the first weekend of October.
Woods of Terror – Greensboro, NC
Opening on the last weekend of September, the 22 nights of Woods of Terror are considered some of the scariest scenes you’ll find in any haunted house. One look through Woods of Terror’s website shows just how elaborate and scary the actors and scenery are. A bit of a hike for Charlotteans, but if you’re a Halloween junkie, you can’t go wrong.
