Four Keys To A Panther Win Vs. Seattle
It’s that time QC sports fans. The Panthers are starting a new season and I feel like it can be a special one. I think they have a chance at a special win on Sunday. But, they need to do these 4 things…..
1) Stop the Run- With Star in the middle and Kuechly better than ever, I am thinking this is possible. Last year Seattle ran 35 times for only 98 yards against the Cats. Do that again and I think the Panthers will win the opener for the first time since 2008.
2) Win Turnover Battle- Seattle was 5th in the NFL in TO margin last year, but they did turn it over 3 times in last season’s game vs Carolina. Plus, this Panther defense looks to be improved at forcing mistakes.
3) Offensive Line hold own- Before you laugh, allow me to point out that Seattle has 5 Defensive Linemen that are questionable with injuries and one that is out with a suspension (Bruce Irvin). If a bunch of these guys can’t go, the maligned Panther line might be ok. Panthers need to run it and protect Cam to have a chance.
4) Olsen, Olsen and more Olsen- Last season against Seattle, Olsen only caught 2 balls, while Cam completed only 4 of 13 to Smitty. Since the Corners are so good for the Seahawks, the TE is a great option. Seattle was 17th in the NFL vs the TE last year.
