Make sure you have your chips out and batteries in your remote controls.  College football kicks off and the Panthers end their preseason all in one night. Here is what you need to watch for to enjoy this night of pigskin.

1) Clowney- How does UNC block him?  Does USC move him around?  Does he wear down due to the fast paced Fedora offense?  Does he make more freaky highlight plays?  Can’t wait to watch this guy in action tonight.

2) UNC Run Defense- The Heels run defense was gashed at times in 2012.  They gave up 180 yards or more on the ground five times last year and that was with Sylvester Williams and Kevin Reddick. With a young and banged up group of WRs and TEs, I expect USC to pound it with the RBs and QB Connor Shaw.

3) Clausen- This could be the final game in the Jimmy Clausen era tonight.  If the Cats opt to only keep 2 QBs,  JC will be history. Try not to cry tonight Panther Nation.

4) 3rd WR battle- Armanti Edwards and Domenik Hixon are back on the field. They will battle it out with Gettis and Ginn for the critical #3 job.

5) SEC Conference Football- The intensity should be huge for the SEC opener between Ole Miss and Vandy.  Freshman Pass Rusher Robert Nkemdiche will be on the field for Ole Miss. He has been referred to by some as the next Clowney.
