First and foremost, Welcome Back Travelle Wharton to the Carolina Panthers…Originally drafted by Carolina in 2004, Wharton spent last year with the Cincinnati Bengals…

NFL & College Football is So Close, Yet so Far Away…

We are 1 Day away from the Start if the 2013 College Football Season. Yours Truly & Taylor Zarzour will be LIVE from Columbia for the 1lstl College Football game of the 2013 season between the Carolina Tar Heels and the the #7 Ranked South Carolina Gamecocks. Sorry Heels fans, but its “CLOWNEY TIME” Baby! The soon-to-be #1 Pick in the 2014 NFL Draft Jadeveon Clowney is about to wreak Havoc on the College Football World…

Why does Everyone Hate the SEC???
- 7 Straight BCS National Titles
- 63 Players were taken in 2013 Draft (Most from a Conference in Modern ERA).
- 4 of the Last 6 Heisman Trophy Winners are from the SEC (Tim Tebow: ’07; Mark Ingram: ’09; Cam Newton: ’10; Johnny Manziel: ’12).

If U hate the SEC because it is Better than the Conference your teams plays in, I understand it. But, Jealousy is the “Sincerest Form of Flattery” next to Imitation…

Matt Harvey of My New York Mets & UNC Alum has a partially torn UCL. Will be shut down. Determination on whether he needs Tommy John surgery will be made later…
Stop it with Ichiro achieving the Unprecedented Milestone of becoming a charter member of the “4,000 HIT CLUB”. Ichiro had 1,278 hits in Japan, and currently has 2,722 and counting here. Do we count Warren Moon’s Stats with the Canadian Football League’s Edmonton Eskimoes?  Moon had 144 Touchdown Passes, 1,369 Completions & 21,228 Yards in SIX Seasons.

How about Jim Kelly with the USFL’s Houston Gamblers? In two seasons in Houston, he led coach Mouse Davis’ run-and-shoot offense: by throwing for 9,842 yards and 83 touchdowns, completing 63% with an average of 8.53 yards per attempt with 45 interceptions. He was the USFL MVP in 1984, when he set a league record with 5,219 yards passing and 44 TD passes.

Next weekend the Panthers kick off the NFL Season against one of the Potentially Super Bowl bound teams: the Seattle Seahawks.
