NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — The Charleston County coroner has released the name of a 41-year-old woman shot to death at the Tanger Outlet Mall in North Charleston.
Officials say Pamelia Gravely of Myrtle Beach died at the scene late Monday.
Police spokesman Spencer Pryor says officers found a woman dead in the road when they arrived.
Witnesses told police they saw a man and woman approach the victim from behind. They said they heard a shot and the duo then ran from the scene carrying a bag believed to have been taken from the victim. The two got into a sport utility vehicle driven by a second man and rode away.
Officials say they do not think the attack was random.
The investigation is continuing.
