Meanwhile…Back At The Ballpark
In a summertime that has been dominated by the letters P E and D, there has actually been a pretty interesting baseball season that has been taking place.
In the National League, the LA Dodgers, once left for dead and who were going to soon fire manager Don Mattingly, have caught fire winning 15 straight road games at one point leb by rookie phenom Yasiel Prig.
In the NL Central, 3 teams appear to be battling for the division title among those the forever less than impressive Pittsburgh Pirates who hold baseball’s best record and are looking for their first winning season since 1992, you know when MTV still showed videos.
And in the East, what once looked liked a potential classic 2 team battle between the Braves and Nationals has turned into a runaway for the Bravos who have looked like the 27 Yankees as of late.
In the junior circuit, great stories include the great battle in the East between the Rays and Red Sox, the Triple Crown pursuit once again by the Tigers Miguel Cabrera, and the utter train wreck that has been the LA Angels in the West.
Yeah, suspensions and appeals have gotten all of the attention but you can wake up now, there’s still a lot of a good baseball season left to be watched in case you still care.
