COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — AT&T is bringing its warnings about the dangers of texting and driving back to South Carolina .
On Saturday, company representatives are at an AT&T store in Charleston to show off a simulator that lets visitors try to send a text while behind the wheel. On Sunday, the company is taking part in a back to school bash for Richland School District 2 in Columbia.
Earlier this week, AT&T’s simulator made several stops in North Carolina. The company has put on similar events at the North Carolina and South CarolinaLegislatures, as well as the University of South Carolina.
AT&T says the travels are leading up to Sept. 19. That’s the day the company is making a nationwide push for people to sign a pledge that they won’t text and drive.
