The Drive Thursday 8-1-13 – Warren Moon talks with Marc James from The Drive about Riley Cooper’s comments at a concert back in June, they get into Cam Newton’s 3rd year in the league and what his expectations are for this year, and finally they get into his movement to prevent concussions with the Xenith Helmet.
With the recent story of the inexcusable language of Eagles WR Riley Cooper at a concert, many proclaimed that opponents would target him on the field, the All-Pro QB talked about if that is how players thought:
“It’s hard to say. I hope not. I just hope guys continue to play like they are supposed to.”
Moon, the mentor of Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton, had some thoughts on the expectations of Newton and the Panthers this season:
“Well hopefully his team has caught up to his(Cam’s) ability….It is important for them to get off to a fast start….This team also needs to learn how to finish out those close games….He’s(Cam) starting to learn that he can’t let all of his emotion out, he’s got to keep some of it in sometimes.”
Warron Moon also doubles as the analyst for Seattle Seahawks games and will be in Charlotte Week 1 when the Seahawks take on the Panthers:
“It’s going to be a tough one. I know everyone in Carolina is going to be jacked up.”
