From protests to progress, Brazil has suffered many set backs this year with millions of citizens protesting against the Government. However; Football fans (Soccer) have a reason to cheer as Brazil took down world leaders Spain in the Confederations Cup Final.

Brazil is set to host the 2014 FIFA World Cup next Summer and whats a better way to get prepared by winning the highly prized Confederations Cup? There just can’t be, Brazil has alway’s been known as a front-runner when it comes to Soccer. Now that even goes for us Americans who seem to forget that soccer is in fact a sport, when it is by far the most popular sport in the world.

Through the past 5-10 years Brazil has not been at the top, as they had become accustomed to. Spain has taken the world by storm with their non-stop attacking force that has seen them win the 2008 Euro’s, 2010 FIFA World Cup and the 2012 Euro’s consecutively. This has led experts to speculate on whether this generation of team Spain is the best the world has ever seen.

The USA National team will be going to the World Cup (as it stands so far) with an unexpected confidence. They have won their last 6 consecutive matches which ties their record. The past few years has shown a noticeable difference in their style of play and ability to win tough games. Clint Dempsey and Landon Donovan are two of the players who have had the biggest impact on the team.
