N.C. Police Looking For Hammer-Wielding Robbery Suspect
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Police in Fayetteville are looking into three robberies in which the suspect was said to be armed with a hammer.
The Fayetteville Observer reports (http://bit.ly/172J8uJ) that a woman entered a shoe store on July 5, demanded money and left on foot. The second incident occurred Sunday night when a woman entered a variety store wearing a black helmet with a clear face shield and approached the clerk. Police said the suspect told the clerk “I’m sorry” as she left.
Police said the woman left on a black moped.
A third robbery occurred Monday. A woman entered a fast-food restaurant, approached an employee and demanded money from the safe. As in the variety store robbery, the suspect wore a dark helmet with a clear face shield and left on a moped.
