First and foremost, rest in PEACE to James Gandolfini aka “Tony Soprano” who passed away of a heart attack at 51. He was a transcendent American figure who was taken way too early from this world. Hands down, The Sopranos was one of the epic shows in television history.

Bobcats make another questionable decision drafting Cody Zeller from Indiana over Ben McElmore (Kansas), Nerlens Noel (Kentucky), and Alex Len (Kentucky). Personally, I would’ve taken McElmore, but let’s see what happens.

One thing is for sure: the pick of Cody Zeller will make or break Rich Cho in an NBA talent-evaluating G.M. If Zeller is a Boom, Cho is a genius, but if Zeller is a bust, Cho’s future occupation will be a door greeter saying something like, “Welcome to Wal-Mart.”

Coolest Moment of the NBA Draft: David Stern announcing his last ever pick only surprised by his 1st announced pick from 1984: Hakeem “The DREAM” Olajuwon.

Very surprised Richard Howell from N.C. State was not drafted. Even a little surprised that ACC pre-season Player of the Year Calvin “C.J.” Leslie was undrafted as well. Good luck to Howell in Denver and Leslie with my Knicks.

Two North Carolina were ranked in the Top 10 of NBA Draft ratings. Raleigh-Durham was 6th; Charlotte was 8th. Way to represent the state of North Carolina!

Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter,

Former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez was officially charged with murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a large capacity firearm. His request for bail was thankfully denied. Investigators are looking into his alleged involvement in a double homicide in 2012.

Nearly 30 players arrested since the Super Bowl this year. That’s really great (SARCASM) for Roger Goodell who is considered my idea for a nationally televised “ALL-HATE DEBATE”: Bill Simmons vs. Doc Rivers. Simmons said quote, “Rivers QUIT on the Celtics.” Rivers responded calling Simmons a quote, “IDIOT”.

On behalf of 610 “The Fan” & CBS Charlotte, I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July weekend.
