Charlotte Schools Police Chief On Leave
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — The police chief of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools has been placed on administrative leave during an internal investigation.
School spokeswoman Tahira Stalberte says Bud Cesena was placed on leave Wednesday afternoon. Stalberte says the move is a personnel matter that she cannot discuss.
School board members would not talk about the situation.
Cesena has been the school police chief since 2006. He previously worked for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Deputy Chief Randy Hagler is the interim police chief.
There was no telephone listing for Cesena.
