LENOIR, N.C. (AP) — Google is scheduled to make a major economic development announcement at its $600 million North Carolina data center.
The global internet technology giant didn’t disclose its plans. But Gov. Pat McCrory will be at Friday’s news conference along with executives from Google and Duke Energy. State and local politicians also plan to be at the event.
Caldwell County is home to one of the eight massive data centers that power Google’s Internet search engine and other services.
