The Drive Tuesday 3-26-13 – Seth Curry talks with The Drive about his first two games in the tournament, if his brother Stephen Curry has brought up the fact that he got to the Elite 8 and Seth is still trying to get that far in the tournament, and we talk about the Curry family and who has bragging rights in their driveway games.
Seth Curry talks with The Drive first about his first two games in the tournament playing Albany then Creighton now stepping up to play Michigan St.
“The first two games were against championship level teams that really pushed us they played their best games for the most part”
“If another team is playing well and you’re not making your shots you can go home that night. That’s the beauty of the tournament”
The last championship the Blue Devils won Seth was on the bench as a red shirt. So we ask him what a championship for Duke would mean to him and his legacy.
“You can be a great player at Duke but if you don’t make a run to the final four and win a championship you didnt really fulfill what you wanted to do here you come here to win championships, thats what we’re doing as seniors trying to leave our mark and be remembered as a championship caliber team”
The Curry family is a basketball family. So we wonder how much trash talk is going one with the two brothers this year.
“(Steph) hasn’t really brought it up yet…its been nothing but support”
“My dad has been running all over the country to watch me, that’s the kind of family were are. We always have each others back showing support. Its greatly appreciated”
Duke (2) plays Michigan St (3) this Friday at 9:57 pm in Indianapolis, Indiana at Lucas Oil Stadium.
