I will be the first to admit, I am not a big fan of change. I am stuck in my ways, the fact that I still think that 80′s music is still the best of all time proves that point.

The 60th ACC Tournament is taking place this weekend in , is sure doesn’t feel like the old days. Growing up in this area, I remember that come ACC tourney time, everything came to a stop, work and school included. Anybody that went to school in this area can tell you that it was a yearly ritual to see teacher after teacher rolling in TVs into their classrooms for all to enjoy the tournament. Sick days were common in office after office so folks could watch the “granddaddy” of all conference basketball tournaments.

I don’t feel like these types of things happen nearly as much as they used to, sadly because the tournament is not what it used to be. Teams don’t play as desperate as they once did, fans don’t fill the arenas as they once did. At one time, finding a ACC Tournament ticket was like finding the Golden Ticket in Willy Wonka And The Chocolate factory. Not any more, tickets can now be found on Stubhub for as cheap as 3 dollars. And now, there is talk of moving the event to New York City, New York City!!! Really?

Whether we like it or not, change is inevitable. By the way, great seats are still available for that Georgia Tech vs Boston College game.
