The Drive Thursday 2-28-13 - Stephen Curry joins The Drive after his big night in Madison Square Garden. They get into his snub for the All-Star game, how his past few days have been after the brawl in Indiana then to score 54 the next night in New York City, and what player he thinks he most resembles.

After missing the All-Star team Marc asks Stephen if his performance was in part to show that he is an All-Star and belongs in the conversation as an elite player?

“Yeah I tried to step my game up a little bit after the All-Star break, you get rejuvenated and refreshed and obviously were making a playoff push and that’s more important “

Stephen Curry has had a strange few days after being in a brawl on the court in Indiana then scoring 54 in New York City the next night.

“It was a pretty big scuffle…but just tried to protect a teammate.  Obviously I didn’t think about the size differential”

“Its been a crazy 48 hours two losses kind of sting a little bit right now.  But we have another back tomorrow and Saturday…so hopefully we can those two wins on the way home and make this a somewhat of a successful trip”

Stephen Curry has been in the league for 5 years not but Marc asks him a question that takes him back to draft night and that’s what player he feels like he most resembles?

“People asked me that around the draft, Obviously Steve Nash was a comparison because we’re the same height.  I’m just trying to be me and hopefully couple years from now somebody will be saying I want to be like Steph when he was in the league.”

Golden State is 2nd in the Pacific Division 8 games back of the LA Clippers.
