The Pacers Warriors game went from exciting to ugly real quick when a scuffle broke out on the court, eventually ending in the crowd. Center David Lee of the Warriors and Roy Hibbert, of the Pacers, got into a altercation during the game last night.

The two had been pushing each other most of the play, and once the foul was called David Lee pushed Hibbert which fired him up. Guard Stephen Curry of the Warriors, quickly came to teammate Lee’s aide, only to be shoved to the ground by the 7 foot beast which is Hibbert. The players then raced to the scene to break up the shoving. After the refs got a hold of the situation, 4 technical fouls were issued and Roy Hibbert was ejected for the remainder of the game.

After the game, Hibbert emphasized that he did not have any intentions of hurting Stephan Curry. He was trying to get him out the way because the beef was between him and David Lee. He has no pride in getting into it with someone substantially smaller than him, meaning 6 foot 3 inch Stephen Curry.

The Pacers ended up winning the game 108-97 even though Hibbert was ejected for the remainder of the competition. Tension was high throughout the rest of the game but everything seemed to stay under control. The NBA is going to examine this and see if any further punishment is needed. Since there were not any real punches thrown, harsh punishments are not expected.

There are around 30 games left this season and teams are getting a little on edge. Competition gets more intense as teams fight for playoff positions. These last few games will be physical with a lot at stake. Let’s see which teams can make a run to get into the playoffs as the season progresses.
