ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) — An Anderson County man has been killed in a hit and run incident.

The coroner’s office said that 32-year-old Clifton Chapman of Liberty died after he was hit Monday night.

Chapman’s body was found Tuesday morning in a shallow ditch beside a road. Investigators think he was walking home from work when he was hit.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says investigators think another Liberty resident hit Chapman. Authorities are considering whether to file charges.
