Today we begin our new Mac Attack feature on WFNZ.com of what you may have missed last night.UNC fans claim that the refs may have missed a lot last night in Cameron. Here are some things you need to know to start your day.

Charlotte beats Butler: A huge win for Alan Major and the Charlotte 49ers program as they won at 11th ranked Butler 71-67. Pierra Henry led the way with 17 points.  The next two games (at St.Louis Saturday, vs Temple Feb 24th)  become crucial for the 49ers chances to make the dance. They are currently around 63 in the RPI (depending on which site you check) and don’t have many quality opponents left outside the games mentioned

Jim Boeheim goes off: Syracuse Head Coach Jim Boeheim went off on Andy Katz of ESPN and refused to answer his questions following the 70-68 loss to Uconn. Katz was called an idiot and Boeheim indicated he wanted to call him other names but refrained. Some reports indicate he was upset over a Katz report that was supposed to be off the record about why James Sunderland was suspended.

Carmelo Hurt: Knicks star Carmelo Anthony had a rough shooting night (12 points on 5 for 24 shooting) in the Knicks 92-88 loss to the Raptors and said after the game he could miss the All Star Game Sunday with a deep arm contusion. I’m sure the other Eastern Conference All Stars will be upset that they can’t watch Melo fire up 87 shots Sunday night.

Oscar Pistorius murder charge: Finally, we finish with the most shocking news from overnight. Olympic sprinter Oscar Pistorius has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend at his home in South Africa. Reports say he may have mistaken his girlfriend for an intruder. There have been other previous incidents at the home. Amazing that Oscar reached the high point of his life just a couple months ago and now he is in as a low of a place as you can be.
