Mac Attack 02/13/13: Mike Florio from NBC and PFT joined the guys for the latest news and rumors as he does each Wednesday at 805am

Mike started out the interview with his yearly tradition of ripping the Duke-Carolina rivarly by telling us he could care less.

Mac asked him his take on Bill Polian’s suggestion to widen the field to make it more like the CFL. Mike feels it  would be condusive to offense and give them more room to work with. He doesn’t buy into Bill Polians suggestion though  that it would make the game less violennt. Mike feels it  will put a weight limit on the league and cut down on the amount of 400 pounders that are in the league.  He  mentions how he contacted the league and its not even on the agenda as of right

Mike feels that Michael  Vick and Chip Kelly could work well together in Philly  but Vick just can’t stay healthy. He feels Vick and Foles is an odd combonation of qbs to have because their skills sets are so different.  If Vick gets hurt the entire offense will change.  He poses the question, why don’t teams get QBs that are similar in what they do?

Profootballtalk.com posted the Tom Sorensen article earlier this week suggest that Jadaveon Clowney sit out this season and wait til the 2014 NFL Draft to play. Mike would advise Clowney to worry about himself and not South Carolina.  He feels he  shouldn’t riskyour future and all the money he isgoing to make. Mike says  don’t think about reality and the bad stuff that can happen at 20 years old. You have to be careful not to get caught up in the win one for the gipper type stuff at South Carolina.

Join Mike each Wenesday on the Mac Attack at 805am and check out Profootballtalk.com for the latest NFL news and rumors
