CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CBS Charlotte) — A 16-year old student at Olympic High School (Mecklenburg County) has been arrested for making threats against the school.

The threat was found by a teacher yesterday afternoon, who discovered the message on the student’s calculator.

According to officials from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, the message indicated “A Sandy Hook would happen,” at Olympic High.

The school was searched, but no weapons were found on school grounds. Still, some students were picked up earlier this morning by concerned parents — after reports of the incident became known.

School officials are still investigating, but no evidence of danger has surfaced.

Extra police officers are at the school today, as a precautionary measure.
