Every year the Super Bowl gives us the opportunity to bet. Whether you bet on the outcome of the game, the total number of points scored in the game, or the MVP, there is something for everyone. There are so many proposition bets you can bet on just about anything from the coin flip, the number of points the Baltimore Ravens score compared to the number of points LeBron James scores against the Raptors, and you can bet on the total time of commercials shown compared to the length of Kim Kardashians first marriage. You can also pick squares to try and win money based on the score of each quarter.
Here are a bunch of stats and facts to help you make your decision on who wins:
-The NFC has won 25 of the 46 Super Bowls including the last 3
-The San Francisco 49ers have won all 5 of the Super Bowls they played in (1982 XVI 26-21 over Cincinnati, 1985 XIX 38-16 over Miami, 1989 XXIII 20-16 over Cincinnati, 1990 XXIV 55-10 over Denver, 1995 XXIX 49-26 over San Diego)
-The Baltimore Ravens won their only previous Super Bowl appearance (2001 XXXV 34-7 over NY Giants)
-The San Francisco 49ers won Super Bowl XXIV in the Superdome, the site of this years game
-The San Francisco 49ers are tied with the Dallas Cowboys for 2nd place with 5 Super Bowl victories behind Pittsburgh who has 6
-The San Francisco 49ers are the only team in the league with multiple Super Bowl victories to be undefeated in Super Bowl play
-The San Francisco 49ers hold the record for most points scored in a Super Bowl (55 vs Denver in Super Bowl XXIV)
-The San Francisco 49ers hold the record for largest margin of victory in a Super Bowl (45 vs Denver in Super Bowl XXIV)
-The San Francisco 49ers hold the record for most touchdowns scored in a Super Bowl (8 vs Denver in Super Bowl XXIV)
-The San Francisco 49ers are tied for the record for most field goals made in a Super Bowl (4 vs Cincinnati in Super Bowl XVI)
-The San Francisco 49ers hold the record for most first downs in a Super Bowl (31 vs Miami in Super Bowl XIX including the most rushing first downs (16) in a Super Bowl)
-The Baltimore Ravens tied a record for fewest points given up in the first half of a Super Bowl (0 vs NY Giants in Super Bowl XXXV)
-The Baltimore Ravens (244) and the New York Giants(152) combined for the fewest net yards, rushing and passing, in Super Bowl XXXV
-The Baltimore Ravens (13) and the New York Giants (11) combined for the fewest first downs in a Super Bowl in Super Bowl XXXV
-The Baltimore Ravens (10) and the New York Giants (11) combined for the most punts in a Super Bowl in Super Bowl XXXV
