ST. GEORGE, S.C. (AP) — A man has been killed after he tried to drive a pickup truck across railroad tracks in St. George.

Officials say the accident happened late Sunday afternoon.

The Dorchester County coroner’s office has not released the victim’s name.

The crossing has several warning signs but no lights or mechanical arms blocking the crossing.

Police Chief Anthony Britt said the truck was dragged about 100 yards.
