BENNETTSVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say an 8-year-old boy has been shot to death in a home in Bennettsville.

Investigators say someone called 911 around 8:30 p.m. Sunday to say Easton Brueger had been accidentally shot at his father’s house. He died a short time later at the hospital.

Authorities say the boy was shot in the stomach and an autopsy has been ordered.

Bennettsville Police and the State Law Enforcement Division are investigating the shooting. No charges have been filed.
