During the Carolina Panthers locker room interviews before they travel to face the San Diego Chargers, Cam Newton talked about the 2012 Heisman winner Johnny Manziel.  He says he is “very happy” for the freshman Texas A&M quarterback and “was a big fan of him watching him each and every Saturday.”

Cam did reveal that he voted for Johnny Manziel last month for the honor.

Also, Cam Newton had nothing but praise for rookie LB Luke Kuechly who so far has the most tackles in the NFL, including 19 tackles facing the Atlanta Falcons last weekend.

Cam thinks that it’s a “broken record” on the surround sound when they blare in the stadium “Luke Kuechly Number 59″ numerous times during each game.
