Teen Girl Dies After Shooting At Father’s Home
CLINTON, N.C. (AP) — A teen girl has died after a weekend shooting that left her father dead at his home outside Clinton.
Authorities say Larissa Estrada died Sunday at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
Authorities are waiting on an autopsy report on Estrada and her father, but investigators say they think 51-year-old Edwin Estrada shot his daughter before killing himself. Deputies have not discussed a motive for the shooting.
Larissa Estrada’s brother went to his father’s Sampson County home on Friday night to find his sister after she didn’t return to the home they shared with their mother.
When no one answered the door, authorities say the brother forced his way inside and found Edwin Estrada dead from a gunshot wound and his sister slumped over.
