ST LOUIS, M.O. (CBS Charlotte) — A short time ago, emergency vehicles were dispatched to Lambert International Airport, where they surrounded a plane on the tarmac.
According to officials, U.S. Airways flight 1667, which departed from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, was en route to St. Louis when it experienced significant turbulence. The turbulence injured two flight attendants who were not seated at the time.
The injured attendants were taken to a nearby hospital, however, the extent of their injuries remains uncertain.
It is believed that all passengers were seated while the plane experienced turbulence, however, there has been an unconfirmed report of at least one passenger sustaining an injury during the flight.
