With Cam on a 6 game tear, the Newton numbers are alot more fun to look at. So, here is a glance at some numbers that help us analyze Cam’s performance.
88.0- His QB rating for the year. That is up 3.5 points from last year’s rating.
15 and 2- That’s 15 total TDs and just 2 INTs in his last 6 games.
3-3- The Panthers record in that 6 game stretch (they were 1-6 before that).
6.2- That is his yards per carry average. Up from 5.6 in his rookie season.
94.4- His QB rating in the 4th quarter this year. Up from 74 last season.
65.8- His redzone passer rating. It’s a real weakness and this number must improve.
105.2- His QB rating in NFC South games. Good news, the division is already struggling to deal with him.
17-21- His numbers vs Atlanta Sunday on passes of 10 yards or less. He tallied 174 yards and a TD on these short throws too. Nice to see this part of his game coming along.
5- Amount of different sponsors whose ads he is currently appearing in nationally. Gatorade, Dre Beats, Play 60, Windows Phone, Under Armour.
0- The amount of bad press conferences he has done in the last 2 months.
