Who should be the Panthers next coach if Ron Rivera isn’t retained? I know I spend too much time thinking about this, but what else I am going to think about?  It keeps me away from the negative thoughts of what Rivera screwed up this week.

Here is my short list of guys I would be happy to have as the new coach of the Panthers.  Are you reading this Big Cat?

1) Chip Kelly- Oregon Head Coach- Creative, organized and a great motivator. This is what the NFL front office types say about him. Could you imagine his creative mind, making use of Cam, the RBs, Smitty and Olsen?

2) Mike Sullivan—Offensive Coordinator Tampa Bay- He leaves NY and Eli struggles. Heads to TB and Josh Freeman has a career year.  I am thinking he has something to do with those things.  Plus, he has the Bucs scoring 29 ppg.  And, hey, we could weaken a division rival while were at it.

3) Bruce Arians- Acting Head Coach Indy- The guy is holding the team together with Chuck Pagano out. He is working his magic with Andrew Luck and he was real good with Big Ben (who Cam is often compared too).

4) Andy Reid- I thought about Denver OC Mike McCoy or Stanford Coach Davis Shaw for the last spot. But, I have always had a soft spot for Andy Reid.  Extremely consistent, great with QBs and a stand up guy.  Just wonder if he needs a year or so off after losing his son.   He is 41 games over .500 and has been to the playoffs 9 times.
