BELMONT, N.C. (AP/CBS Charlotte) — This past weekend, volunteers searched for a Belmont store worker.

Family and friends gathered on Saturday to pass out flyers and look for Elizabeth Stonger. Stonger vanished over a month ago and the latest search was one of a series of searches, however, very few clues have emerged.

Stonger was last seen Oct. 14 driving away from the Wal-Mart where she worked.

Authorities say the 27-year-old mother of a three year old left the store for lunch that day, waved to some people and drove away from the store alone. Her family hasn’t had any communication with her since.

On the evening she disappeared, her cellphone was used in McDowell County. Since then, there’s been no activity on the phone.
