I am a little down in the dumps about the Hostess labor issues which have led to the end of life with Twinkies, but after interviewing Kemba Walker, I think I am ok. 

If you compare the talk we had with Kemba when he was drafted to the one we had with him  today on The Mac Attack, it is night and day. The kid is maturing at a rapid rate on the court and off.  

The studder step and cross-over. The quick hands on defense that lead to fast breaks. His ability to push it and get us easy baskets. The toughness for a little dude. And, the clutch gene he displayed in Minnesota. These are the things that make him great.  And, they make him the most exciting athlete to watch in the QC today. 

I still love me some Cam Newton. And, Charles Johnson and Greg Hardy are beasts off the edge.  But, if I get to watch one athlete in Charlotte do his thing right now, I am taking Kemba.  He is a breath of fresh air for a sports city who needs one.  And, I would take him over Twinkies any day.
