CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Zombies are lurking for those brave enough to participate in what’s being called the rUNdead 5K in Charleston.
The race is being held Saturday evening at the site of what will be Old Towne Creek Park. The site is the location of a new park being created by the Charleston County Parks and Recreation Commission adjacent to Charles Towne Landing – the birthplace of South Carolina.
During the race, folks dressed up as zombies will appear to scare the runners as they make their way through the wooded course.
Participants, spectators and zombies alike are being asked to bring non-perishable food to help stock the shelves of the Lowcountry Food Bank.
