Hitting to All Fields: When It Comes To The Panthers, “The Song Remains the Same”
With the Carolina Panthers dismal 1-4 start, as the greatest band of all time in the history of music Led Zeppelin once sang, “The Song remains the Same”. With the Rams win over Arizona last week, the Panthers now have the longest streak in the NFL without a WINNING record. See Marty Hurney. Since the start of the 2011 season, the Panthers have blown more 2nd half leads than any team in the league with NINE!!! UGGH!!! Even former MLB reliever Bob Stanley thinks that is atrocious.
The Panthers actually have an all-time record of 126-151 while the Jacksonville Jaguars have an above .500 record of 139-138. Sad when the soon-to-be relocated to Los Angeles team has had more success than a franchise that actually wants to win.
Ron “LAWN-CHAIR” Rivera needs to show some sort of passion than standing on the sidelines as a wax museum figure. My jury is still deliberating on rendering a verdict whether Rivera is head coach material or just another glorified coordinator: see Cam Cameron, Mike Tice, Wade Phillips, Mike Nolan, Jack Del Rio, Josh McDaniels, etc.
A lot of different responses to Cam Newton’s dad Cecil in-studio interview. I thought Cecil was refreshingly open and forthcoming. Here’s some of the national coverage The Drive with Taylor Zarzour and Yours Truly received: USAToday.com
The mighty Casey…uh, I mean The Mighty Chipper Jones’s career is over. Later Larry. You can’t kill MY Mets anymore.
Congratulations to N.C. State for upsetting the “Pre-Season BCS PAPER Champion” FSU Seminoles. You CANNNNNNNNN’T say “OVERRATE” without Florida State! Way to go, Jimbo; recruiting isn’t everything pal.
Four guarantees in life every year: death, taxes, the SEC owning and ruling the college football World, and last but definitely NOT least, Oklahoma, Florida State, and Virginia Tech being the MOST OVERRATED, UNDERACHIEVING college football programs in the universe!
