S.C. Sheriff To Get Zapped By Taser For A Good Cause
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott will let the highest bidder at a charity golf tournament shock him with a Taser.
How long Lott gets zapped Monday depends on how much is given. The minimum bid is $1,000, and the winner gets to shock Lott another second for every additional $1,000 donated.
The auction is part of the Richland County Sheriff’s Foundation’s annual golf tournament at the Woodlands Country Club.
The foundation says it works to support deputies by providing them with tools and equipment like bulletproof vests and walkie-talkies.
