On The Beat With Brett Jensen Hour 2 9-20-12: Brett Jensen and co-host Dre Bly get a rare opportunity and interview 17-year NFL referee Boris Cheek about the lockout and his feelings on the replacement refs and how their doing thus far.
Cheek said he’s anxious to get back to reffing.
“When you’re looking at the ballgame, naturally I would want to be out there,” he said. “But, no, I’m not there laughing (at the replacement referees). I’m not there degrading guys.”
Cheek also said that the replacement refs are in a very difficult position.
“I remember as a rookie how difficult it was and how fast the game was for me as a rookie, so I can only imagine what it’s like for these guys with a couple of months of training,” he said.
