COWPENS, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina Highway Patrol trooper has been cited for driving too fast for conditions after he was involved in a wreck on Interstate 85 in Spartanburg County.
Fifty-eight-year-old John Beheler suffered minor injuries in the wreck late Tuesday morning.
Spartanburg County sheriff’s deputies handled the investigation since the wreck involved a Highway Patrol trooper.
Sheriff’s Lt. Tony Ivey said deputies determined that Beheler’s vehicle hydroplaned on the wet road and flipped over. Beheler was wearing a seatbelt.
No other vehicles were involved.
Beheler was treated and released from Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
