Ok, so the numbers are pretty ugly, but these do give us some insight as to what happened and why the Panthers lost in Tampa.

11-  That is how many snaps  the Panthers Defense lined up in the 3-4 on Sunday.  They did it more as they game went on (8 times in the 2nd half), so I would expect more of it vs the Saints.

21- That is the amount of snaps out of 49 offensive plays that Deangelo Williams played on Sunday.  And, that is with Jonathan Stewart out.  More proof that they went away from their strengths on Sunday.

2- Only two times did the Cats use two guys together in the backfield.   Might help the run game to get an extra blocker in there Chud.

2-10- This was the Panther performance on 3rd down.  I am guessing that has something to do with the ineffective run game.  Have to run the ball to get them in thrid and short this week.

3- Only 3 designed runs for Cam.  Needs to use his feet some more. Almost seems like he was tentative when it came to running. Wonder if he is being coached to run less?  But, do that and you take away a big part of why he is special.

20- The longest drive the Panthers Defense allowed in the last 6 Tampa possessions was only 20 yards.  They clearly got better on D as the game went on.

8- Coach Rivera said the Bucs had 8 in the box often and that is why we gave up on the run game.  Shouldn’t  this passing game be able to beat you if you do that?? I mean this isn’t the David Carr or Jimmy Clausen era.

2- The amount of offensive snaps Armanti Edwards played.  Why the heck is he active and Thomas Keiser isn’t?
