Hey sports fans, Chris and Bruce are back this year to give you our weekly picks.  We’re going to keep track of these for bragging rights, so we’ll keep you updated each week with who’s in the lead and who doesn’t know as much as they think they may.

Since it is just week one and we can finally start watching real football let’s get right to it.

Wednesday Night Game

Cowboys @ Giants:  The Giants are starting off the season against the rival Cowboys and this could go either way, but we both like the defending Super Bowl Champs.

Sunday 1:00 Games

Colts @ Bears: This will be the debut for number one pick Andrew Luck but Indianapolis has their work cut out for them.  We are taking the Bears and make it a double.

Eagles @ Browns: The Eagles have been a trendy pick to win the NFC East in the offseason and, Bruce likes them this week.  Chris is looking for an upset and is taking the Browns.

Patriots @ Titans:  Brady, Gronk, Welker, Lloyd, Hernandez, the Pats just have too many weapons and should take care of business in this one.  We are both on board with New England.

Falcons @ Chiefs:  Bruce likes the Dirty Birds to come away with a win here.  Chris thinks Jamaal Charles is going to a hand full in this one and he is taking the Chiefs.

Jaguars @ Vikings:  Both teams had a pretty disappointing 2011 and who knows if Maurice Jones Drew or Adrian Peterson will see much of the field in this one.  With that being said Brue is taking the Jags and Chris has got the Vikes.

Redskins @ Saints: Despite the fact that the Saints have had a turbulent offseason and will be playing without head coach Sean Payton, Chris and Bruce like the veteran Brees over the rookie RGIII.

Bills @ Jets:  The Jets have had trouble finding the end zone in the preseason, so Chris is taking the Bills.  Bruce says don’t sleep on Tebow and he is going with the Jets.

Rams @ Lions:  Madden cover or no madden cover Calvin Johnson is still Megatron and the Rams are still well the Rams.  Double dose of Detroit here for Bruce and Chris.

Dolphins @ Texans:  We have been watching Hard Knocks on HBO following the Dolphins this pre-season and while we are both impressed with Lauren Tannehill we have not liked what we saw out of the Dolphins.  We are both taking the Texans.

Sunday 4:25 Games

49ers @ Packers:  In what could be a preview of the NFC Championship game in week one, we both like the Packers.  This is by far the game of the week too bad it’s on the same time the Panthers are playing.

Seahawks @ Cardinals: The Battle of the Birds is an ugly one and I wouldn’t use either one of these teams this week in the Knockout Pool this week.  Chris has the Seahawks and Bruce likes the Cardinals.

Panthers @ Buccaneers:  Tampa has added some pieces in the draft with Mark Barron and Doug Martin.  They also acquired Vincent Jackson in the off-season to give Josh Freeman a big target, but come on you know we are both taking the Panthers here.

Sunday Night Game

Steelers @ Broncos:  Four neck surgeries, a season off, and a new team for Peyton Manning and we both expect the sheriff to return to form in prime time we are all in on the Broncos.

Monday Night Games

Bengals @ Ravens:  Both of these teams made the playoffs last year and if they want to get back this year a win here will be a big step in the right direction.  Bruce has the Bengals and Chris likes the Ravens.

Chargers @ Raiders:  The latter of the two Monday night games boast and AFC West match up that is basically a coin flip.  Heads gives Chris the Chargers and tails gives Bruce the Raiders.

We are both super pumped to have football back and can’t wait to start watching games besides there is nothing going on in Charlotte this week, right?
