WENTWORTH, N.C. (CBS Charlotte) – A North Carolina man who had just been released from jail didn’t feel like leaving the jail – at least not without a ride to a motel.

After he was released from jail on Saturday, all that Rodney Dwayne Valentine wanted was a ride to a local motel. When Rockingham County authorities refused, he was arrested again.

The News & Record of Greensboro reports that Valentine, 37, had been imprisoned since May 22. It is unclear what the previous charges were for Valentine’s initial jail stint.

He has been charged with second-degree trespassing. Valentine is being held on $500 bond, according to the News & Record. His court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 9.
