This weekend it was the dog and hog days of summer with over 100 degree heat, but the real hotness were the bikes at Harley Davidson of Charlotte located in Matthews at their bike show and give-away. They had the newest models and classics in the antique division on display from 1903-1975 like Flat Heads, Shovel Heads, Pan Heads, and Knuckle Heads.
No, not me … the bike. But I was there too, playing Vanna White (or red rather in that sun) and hosting the reverse raffle for the custom Super Glide we gave away. It was hard parting with the bike, especially after enrolling in Harley Davidson’s Rider’s Edge Academy to get licensed, but one lucky listener left the lot with a brand new Harley.
In addition to all the bikes they had a live band, free homemade food off the grill, and free beer … it was one heck of a party!
