Mac Attack 6/28/12: Bobcats Rich Cho stops by to give the latest updates on their draft night plans and who we should expect them to target tonight.

After speculation that the Bobcats might trade down tonight, we asked Cho how likely that was.

“It’s a possibility,” said Cho. “It’s our job to listen, and we really like the second pick so it’s going to take something pretty special to move down.”

There’s no question that there’s been a great deal of debating about who the Bobcats would choose tonight. Cho admitted to that but said that most of the decision making had gone smoothly.

“It’s a collaborative decision and it’s a team effort. I have the philosophy agree-disagree-align, and I think it’s healthy to have debates definitely. At the end of the day, you come out of the room and you align.”

While Cho said that he like Kidd-Gilchrest and Robinson, he also commented on Harrison Barnes’ workout with the Bobcats. Even though many have lost their faith in Harrison, Cho has not.

“Because he was the number one player in high school and there’s been a lot of scrutiny on him, he’s one of those guys that people look at him and just kind of dissect his game and tell you what he can’t do. But, he can do a lot of things and what he can do is score. So, I think he’s going to be a very good player in this league.”
