Knoxville Man Commits Suicide By Lighting Himself On Fire On Front Lawn
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (CBS Charlotte) — A man kills himself by lighting himself on fire on his front lawn.
The Knoxville News Sentinel reports that Michael McReynolds, 61, recently received “bad news” about his family’s finances.
Knoxville Police Department spokesman Darrell DeBusk told the Sentinel that Reynolds walked to the front yard after dousing himself with gasoline and lit himself on fire.
His wife Anna McReynolds, 51, initially called 911. She tells The Daily Mail that she doesn’t understand why her husband killed himself.
“He killed himself in front of me, right in the front yard,” she told the Daily Mail. “I saw it happen through the window as it began.”
She also refuted reports that the family was having financial troubles.
