RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Members of Occupy Raleigh say they’ll march from their camp in downtown Raleigh to the sidewalk at the Old State Capitol to resume a demonstration for economic justice that began last fall.
Protesters plan to march Sunday morning from the camp to the sidewalk, where they held a rally Oct. 15 and demonstrated for several weeks. Twenty protesters were arrested for refusing the leave the Capitol grounds after the rally. Others were arrested when authorities cleared the sidewalk where they set up after the rally.
Occupy Raleigh said in a news release that its members plan to “re-open the sidewalk … as a permanent space for public engagement.”
